Timo Ohler is a photographer who is currently based in Berlin. He traveled extensively throughout the United States, including visits to Detroit several times over the past 5 years.
Timo studied fine art at in Germany and Canada. He received scholarships from the German National Academic Foundation, the Academy of Arts, Berlin, and attended the Etaneno residency, Namibia.
His photography focuses on objects and spaces, with a special emphasis on exhibition photography.
He is interested in using photography to capture the unique character of objects and spaces. His approach is characterized by a careful attention to atmosphere and detail that is complemented by a distinctive yet understated feel for the curious.
Timo is currently photographing for several high profile art institutions including Sprüth Magers, Andrea Rosen Gallery and KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin.
