Good Vibes From The Periphery

I asked friends from across the city to participate. People in particular who help make up my sense of community while also being somewhat on the outskirts of each-others own sense of center.  They’re a dynamic constellation  brought together as representatives denoting different directions within my own messy mental map of the city.  Each are approximate landmarks from divergent but connected environments.   In this way its both a map of the spaces between them & literal microcosm of it.  Should each participant draw up a similar environment from their perspective, they would  together combine to form a broader & denser web of interpersonal connections with no center at that scale. The participants start equidistant to each-other around the circle in a spirit of P2P balance.

Unlike the ideas geometry, the whole process of the gathering is loose-limb; Some of the participants know each other more than others which you can maybe read. Despite the intention framed by the setup, the process is by and large unfacilitated: A void that acknowledges absence of community, dissonance & difficulties in relating. The table is longing for social cohesion as it holds space between transpersonal imaginings & reality. Its speculating about forms of intersubjective meditation and other processes as a means of radiating societial transformation.
