Christopher Samuels

Christopher Samuels was born and raised in metro Detroit. Samuels creates works that explore and expose identity.  In 2009, he founded the artist-run gallery Org Contemporary and, in 2010, he attended the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture.  Samuels has participated in exhibitions at the Austin Museum of Art’s Arthouse at the Jones Center in Austin, Texas; Purdue University, Indiana and at Brennan & Griffin Gallery in New York.  Samuels exhibited his first short film alongside Harmony Korine and Larry Clark at the Museum of SMU University in Dallas, Texas. Samuels currently lives and works in Detroit, Michigan.
