Bianca Ibarlucea

Bianca Ibarlucea is a Mexican-American designer and researcher who works across many disciplines and technologies.  She uses a combination of performance, social practice and graphic design to unpack the rituals that define the American experience and to raise awareness about the experiences of marginalized communities.  Bianca has worked on engaging communities in need of basic street lighting and projects that preserve local, cultural histories.  She has a B.F.A. with a concentration in graphic design and Latin American studies from Wayne State University.  For the past year, she’s been a freelance designer for the Work Department, a women-led social innovation firm in Detroit.
